Roho is a manufacturer of cushioning products and mattress overlays that use a series of air cells to provide comfortable seating and prevent pressure injuries. The Roho group is well-known for their cushioning systems because of their products’ ability to stabilize and position the lower body and legs while still relieving discomfort from prolonged sitting better than foam cushions. Roho mattress overlays are used by patients in hospitals and home care to increase blood and protect against pressure sores while in bed. The air cells in Roho mattress overlays are separated into three sections that can each be adjusted to the support level needed for each area of the body.
Mattress overlays use high-density foam or inflatable air cells to cushion the body and increase circulation, providing a comfortable sleeping position. Roho mattress overlays and similar products that evenly distribute body weight without a constant power source are called static overlays, while dynamic mattress overlays have an electrical pump that continually alters the level of air pressure. These dynamic overlays are also referred to as alternating pressure pads.
