Medline - Aluminum Transport Chair (8" Wheels) is a lightweight wheelchair with 8" wheels on both the front and rear of the chair. This chair weighs only 21 lbs and can easily move a person from one place to another with the aid of a caregiver. It has a powder coated aluminum frame that is both colorful and durable. The back folds down for easy storage and transport. There is a seat belt for added safety, nylon upholstery, and padded arms. Each wheelchair/transport chair has a chart pocket on the back for easy storage. Weight capacity should not exceed 300 pounds. Frame color choices include red or blue. Seat size: 18" W x 16" D. Sold by the each.

Transport wheelchairs are low cost alternatives to more expensive standard wheelchairs. They are designed to be pushed by someone other than the user. These chairs are commonly used in hospital and home settings. These chairs have smaller wheels the weigh less than other wheelchairs. They are easier to carry in a vehicle and be stored in a trunk of a car. They can also be used around the house with little difficulty.

There are two types of people who use these chairs: those who have a mobility issue that will not allow them to use a standard wheelchair and those who do not need a standard wheelchair long-term. In each case, these chairs are much easier to use than standard wheelchairs and are less of a burden for the caregiver to push around. Works well in areas where space is limited.
