For people who are incontinent, a shower commode chair is a great option. These shower chairs have an opening in the center of the seat and a commode pan below. This helps contain any accidents while bathing and keeps you and the shower clean. Simply empty and sanitize the pan after showering. It is also important to clean a commode chair after each use.

Some shower commode wheelchairs have a seat plug that blocks the commode opening if the person does not need access to the commode at all times.
