Catheter fasteners are bands wrapped around the shaft of the penis to to secure a condom catheter in place. There are several different styles to choose from. Some catheter strips are reusable while others are disposable. All catheter fasteners are adjustable to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for easier catheter care at home.

One type of catheter fastener is an elastic cloth strap that secures using velcro. The velcro plus the elasticized material provide a custom fit. A reusable catheter fastener is wrapped around the outer sheath of a condom catheter and does not come into contact with skin. It does not contain any adhesive. If you have to wear a non-adhesive external catheter due to adhesive allergies, a reusable catheter strip is ideal for holding the catheter in place. Reusable fasteners can be used with adhesive condom catheters as well. These strips can be machine washed.

Another type of catheter fastener is an adhesive foam strip. We carry straps that have adhesive on one side of the strip or on both sides of the strip. The one-sided adhesive strip is meant to be worn on the outside of the condom catheter. This type does not touch the skin. This makes it ideal for people who have adhesive allergies. The two-sided strips are worn under the catheter. One side of the strip adheres to your skin and the other side adheres to the inside of the catheter sheath. Adhesive catheter fasteners are designed to resist sweat and moisture so that stay in place all day. These catheter strips are only meant to be used once and should then be thrown away.
