Stoma Cleaning Wipes

Stoma cleaning wipes are used to clean the area around the stoma. Keeping peristomal skin clean not only keeps your skin healthy, it also helps the ostomy wafer adhere better. Stoma cleaning wipes are made with skin friendly ingredients and can be used anytime you change your ostomy bag. Stoma care wipes can also work as an adhesive remover. These products can be used without worrying about whether the ingredients will interfere with pouch adhesion. Stoma wipes do not leave behind an oily residue or use lotions or other things that will stop your ostomy wafer from staying in place. Anything used to clean the area around the stoma needs to be adhesive friendly. If your skin has an oily residue or lotion on it then the ostomy wafer won't be able to adhere which can cause leaks or cause the ostomy system to come off completely. Using the right product is a good way to help your ostomy bag stay in place.
