ConvaTec ESENTA Sting-Free Skin Barrier is a skin prep that forms a breathable layer of protection between your skin and stomal output, skin harming enzymes, body waste, and medical adhesives. ESENTA is skin friendly and can be used on the sensitive skin surrounding the stoma. This product works for all types of ostomies, including colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy. ESENTA can be used on flush stomas, retracted stomas, and it works with large or light stomal output. These wipes hold up to bathing and can be worn night or day. This product works for ostomy but it can also be used to protect your skin from any type of adhesives, like the adhesive found in bandages and wound dressings or medical tape. This product can be worn up to 72 hours before needing to be replaced and reapplied. Latex free. Box of 25, one case is 20 boxes.

    How to Use ConvaTec ESENTA Sting-Free Skin Barrier Wipes
  • Clean and dry the skin, open packet and unfold the wipe
  • Gently wipe the skin that needs protection, wait till dry
  • Make sure the skin is dry to the touch before applying medical adhesive, ostomy appliances or woudn dressings.
  • ESENTA should be replaced at every wound dressing or ostomy appliance change to maintain complete protection. Product should be applied every 12-72 hours, dependent upon skin surface conditions. These wipes do not cause a build-up of barrier film on the skin surface
