Brownmed - Herbst Cradle Heel Protector is an ankle/foot orthose that can be used to help heal and prevent decubital ulcers, malleoli, and bed linen abrasions. It is also ideal for medial or lateral rotations of the lower extremities and unwanted hip positioning and planter flexion contractures (achilles' contractures).

This cradle is made of a soft nylon that is cool to the touch as it soothes irritated skin. It has an antibacterial filling that creates a soft "cradle" to alleviate pressure to the heels and malleoli without changing blood flow. The plastic support keeps the foot at a 90 degree angle while in bed. The pocket of beads that runs through the center of the leg piece helps to enhance blood circulation. Velcro closure. Lightweight.
