Coloplast Brava - Liquid Lubricating Deodorant helps to neutralize odor inside the ostomy bag. This liquid deodorant also helps prevent the sides of your ostomy pouch from sticking together and helps creates a slick pouch surface for easier emptying and cleaning. Pancaking is when the stoma output gets stuck at the top of the ostomy bag and causes leaks. Pancaking can also cause the stoma output to push against the ostomy wafer and can cause the wafer to become detached. Lubricating deodorants help stop this from happening. The slick surface inside of the lubricated pouch helps the stoma output fall to the bottom of the ostomy bag.
