  1. Wash your hands before handling the leg bag.
  2. Attach the bag securely to your catheter tubing as instructed by your healthcare provider.
  3. Use the flexible straps to fasten the bag around your leg. Adjust for comfort.
  4. Check that the tubing is not twisted or kinked so urine can flow freely.
  5. When the bag is about two-thirds full, use the twist valve at the bottom to empty it into a toilet or container.
  6. Dispose of the leg bag after single use, or follow your healthcare provider’s guidance.
