Express Medical Supply Product Reviews

Have you ever looked at ostomy supplies and didn't know how to use them? Sometimes reading the little inserts inside the boxes isn't enough. What if you don't know anyone with an ostomy or your nurse isn't available to answer every question? YouTube is an amazing resource for ostomy care and support. You can find product reviews, how-to videos, and general ostomy support. The people who make the ostomy videos on YouTube do an fantastic job explaining the products and sharing what life with an ostomy is like. The best part of a how-to video to me is, you can pause and rewind if you didn't understand something and you can bookmark the video so you can watch it again later if you forget a step. You can find a ton of tips and tricks for life with an ostomy. As an example, I am going to share a video made by a youtuber named, Outpatient. This is an older video that helped me understand how to use Hollister Adapt Barrier Rings. When I first saw this product, I wasn't sure how well it would work or how you used it. This video has helped me explain the product to many people. There are many other awesome YouTube ostomy channels. What are some of your favorites?

The products discussed in this video are:

Hollister Adapt Flexible Skin Barrier Ring Seals Hollister Adapt Barrier Rings: Able to be stretched and molded for a custom fit around your stoma. Helps to increase wear time. The individual packaging helps save on supplies since you can easily store what you don't need till your next change.

Hollister Adapt Paste: Used as a caulk to fill in uneven skin crevices so you can have a better fit and wear time. Easy to use, it does contain alcohol so should not be used on open or damaged skin. Paste would be used instead of a barrier ring, you wouldn't want to use both at the same time.

Safe n Simple - Peri-Stoma Flushable Wipes and Adhesive Remover: Special no-rinse formula is alcohol free for sting free cleaning. No oils or lotions to interfere with wafer and pouch adhesion. Large wipe size is easy to use and thoroughly cleans. The wipe is also flushable so clean up is easy.

Coloplast Barrier Wipes : Creates an invisible barrier around your stoma to protect it from irritants or output. Shields the skin while still allowing it to breathe. Fast drying won't slow down ostomy system changes. Helps keep skin healthy and comfortable.
