Its flexibility makes it ideal for hard-to-dress areas and facial applications. Though highly versatile, it is not listed as latex-free, so users with latex sensitivity should exercise caution.

Medipore™ Tape

3M Medipore is a soft cloth surgical tape that is gentle and breathable, with a stretchable design that conforms well to body contours. It comes in easy-tear, perforated rolls, making it user-friendly for frequent dressing changes. It is not listed as latex-free and is ideal for sensitive skin or areas prone to swelling.

Microfoam™ Foam Tape

3M Microfoam is a water-resistant, elastic foam tape that stretches in all directions. It provides gentle compression, making it a good option for edematous limbs and post-surgical applications. This tape is highly conformable, latex-free, and suitable for awkward body contours.

Micropore™ Paper Tape

3M Micropore is a lightweight, breathable paper tape with a rayon backing. It’s perfect for fragile or at-risk skin, offering secure adhesion without causing irritation. It’s also latex-free and suitable for frequent dressing changes or areas where repeated taping is required.

Transpore™ Tape

Tips for Making the Best Use of Medical Tape:

3M Medipore Tape for Wound Care Touch the sticky part of the tape as little as possible.  When you place the medical tape down, apply even and gentle pressure to the top of the tape to ensure complete contact with the skin. Gentle but firm strokes along the entire strip of tape will help the tape come into complete contact with the skin.  This helps keep the tape edges from rolling or losing adhesion. Most adhesives stick to clean, dry surfaces better so try to minimize moist conditions as much as possible.  Be careful when choosing soaps and lotions, a lot of them will prevent tape from sticking because of the oils and emollients that are used.  If the adhesive is bothering your skin, you can use a skin prep like 3M Cavilon barrier film.  Always allow the film to dry completely before applying the medical tape.  Remember, your skin should be healthy and tape should not be making it less healthy.  Always consult your medical team if you are concerned for any part of your health.
