AQUACEL Ag Advantage Enhanced Hydrofiber Dressing is a two-layer dressing impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver. The silver helps kill wound related bacteria and yeasts, including MRSA and VRE. Aquacel Ag is 9 times stronger and has 50% greater absorbency than Aquacel Extra. Powered by Hydrofiber technology, Aquacel promotes a moist wound environment which supports healing and reduces pain. The fibers of the sterile dressing expand as they absorb wound fluid, as it begins to gel, the wound bed is completely covered forming micro-contours against every level of the wound which protects it from drying out or becoming contaminated. Aquacel Ag is made of two layers of hydrofiber stitched together for added strength and durability. This dressing can be cut to fit in any direction making it versatile while cutting down on waste. Aquacel Ag can stay in place up to 7 days, however wounds should be checked regularly and changed as directed by your doctor.
