Convatec AQUACEL EXTRA - Hydrofiber Dressing is composed of two layers of Hydrofiber technology stitched together for durability and strength. Convatec continues to improve Aquacel Extra it is now 9 times stronger and has 39% more absorbency than the original. Aquacel Extra is designed to maintain a moist wound environment even with moderate to highly exuding chronic wounds. The dressing fibers absorb and lock away wound fluid. The moist environment cuts down on pain during dressing changes and lowers the over all pain associated with healing. Aquacel protects the wound bed and offers reliable absorbency. Aquacel Extra does not contain ionic silver, it is not a silver dressing.
