Description

Convex Skin Barrier with Floating Flange — Tape Border (Pre-Cut) Box of 5

This convex skin barrier is an extended-wear, two-piece pouching system wafer designed for durability and a secure seal. It features a floating flange to reduce pressure during pouch attachment and a tape border for extra edge adhesion.

Key features

  • Extended-wear Flextend barrier material — high resistance to erosion
  • Convex shape to help improve the seal for flush or retracted stomas
  • Integrated floating flange to make pouch attachment easier and gentler
  • Tape border (adhesive ring) for improved edge hold and reduced lifting
  • Pre-cut openings for quick use; color-coded flange sizes
  • Latex-free
  • Box of 5

What is a tape border and why use it?

The tape border is an adhesive ring around the outside edge of the wafer. It provides extra hold at the edges to keep the barrier flat and secure, reducing edge roll-up and leaks. A tape border increases flexibility and confidence during activity and can help the wafer stay in place longer between changes.

Compatibility

Use with any matching Hollister New Image two-piece drainable, closed, or urostomy pouch that has the same flange size.

Quick tips

  • Match flange color/size to your pouch for a secure fit.
  • Ensure skin is clean and dry before applying the wafer and tape border.
  • Replace the barrier according to your clinician's guidance or when leakage or edge lifting occurs.
