Rusch/MMG - Closed System Intermittent Catheter Kit with Accessories is a self contained red rubber catheter system, the catheter is housed within its own sterile field, inside of the collection bag. This keeps the red rubber catheter from coming into contact with your hands or other surfaces. Rusch/MMG's patented introducer tip shields the sterile catheter from the first 1.5 cm of the urethra and the higher levels of bacteria that occur there. This introducer tip has proven to reduce UTIs because the tip of the catheter does not carry the bacteria up and into the bladder. The catheter is pre-lubricated with a non-allergenic, water-soluble lubricant for easy insertion.
