Rusch MMG - Closed System Coude Catheter Kit with Accessories is a self contained coude catheter inside of a sterile collection bag, the kit comes with catheter supplies. The sterile 16" catheter is enclosed in a 1500 ml collection bag. A coude catheter has a bend at the tip that helps the catheter maneuver around an enlarged prostate, scar tissue, or urinary strictures. If you are having a difficult time using a standard straight catheter you should consult your medical professional and ask if a coude catheter is right for you.Rusch/MMG's patented introducer tip shields the catheter from the first 1.5 cm of the urethra and the higher levels of bacteria that occur there. This introducer tip has proven to reduce urinary tract infections, also known as UTIs. The enclosed catheter is pre-lubricated with a non-allergenic, water-soluble, sterile lubricant. The closed system catheter kit is self contained to keep the catheter sterile and from coming into contact with your hands or other surfaces.
