SimPro Now Catheters are made by Wellspect, the makers of the hydrophilic LoFric catheters. SimPro Now are are a hydrophilic line of catheters that come with a sterile water sachet that when gently broken activates the lubricated coating on the outside of the catheter. In just 15 seconds these catheters are ready to be inserted, additional lubricating jelly is not required. Currently available in straight and coude tip styles. Straight catheters have the standard catheter tip and can be used by either men or women. Coude catheters have a bent tip that helps navigate the catheter around a swollen prostate, strictures, or scar tissue. Generally it is men who require coude catheters. However, if you have female anatomy and you are having a difficult time using a catheter, try a coude catheter. The slight bend helps the catheter move around difficult areas.
